There are many ways that IT Audit, Security and Governance professionals can give back to their métier. Your San Francisco Chapter is always looking for individuals who have the interest, skills and time to help make our members’ association with ISACA even more valuable. All contributions, big and small, are accepted and appreciated.
The SF ISACA Chapter provides volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
Academic Relations: Work with Student Chapter to increase understanding of the Information Assurance profession and evolve the curriculum.
Communications: Provide newsletter content and management, evolve and manage the chapter website, define and deploy evolving member communication channels.
Education: Plan, organize, and manage monthly educational events, work with other organizations to plan joint sessions, day-long technical sessions, and vendor-provided training.
Membership: Define and deploy new methods of engagement with the membership, improve chapter leadership understanding of member priorities, improve membership growth and retention rates.
Certifications: Plan and execute CISA, CISM, CGEIT, and soon CRISC certification workshops twice a year.
Volunteer: Manage the intake of volunteers, the expression of needs from chapter leadership and the process by which the two are matched.
Fall Conference: Plan, organize, and manage the annual Fall Conference with opportunities to focus on publicity, speaker/topic, conference logistics and venue, attendee materials and gifts planning, sponsor management, and other areas.
Policies & Procedures: Develop and maintain chapter operational policies and procedures.
